Community members involved in the Council include youth, elders, school employees, city and county government staff, police and corrections department personnel and representatives from business and the non-profit sector. Community members have volunteered an average of 200 hours a month to the Restorative Justice process in the community and schools. Referrals have come from family members, teachers, judges, police and city and county staff members. The type of harm repaired has included damage to property, assault, probation revocation, theft, possession of controlled substance, burglary, motor vehicle tampering, terroristic e-mail, and threats of violence. |
